Silk Purse was the second solo album by Linda Ronstadt, released in March 1970, It was produced by Elliot Mazer, who had previously worked with Richie Havens, Gordon Lightfoot, James Cotton, Rufus Thomas, Chubby Checker and Frank Sinatra. The album features the ballad "Long, Long Time," her first major hit. It earned Ronstadt her first Grammy Award nomination in 1971. In addition, the album includes the non-LP bonus track "(She's A) Very Lovely Woman," written by Emmit Rhodes. Out of print on vinyl for more than 25 years.
